ANA P RUEDA
Attorney Ana Patricia Rueda was born in the small town of Villa Insurgentes, Zacatecas, Mexico. When she was seven years old, Mrs. Rueda’s father achieved the American Dream of becoming a US citizen and helping his family emigrate to the United States. Since then, Ms. Rueda has lived in the City of Chicago. She received her BA in Political Science with a minor in Criminology and Justice from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2012. During college tenure, Ms. Rueda discovered her passion for seeking justice and helping others. For this reason, she went to attend the Illinois Institute of Technology at the Chicago-Kent College of Law, where she received her law degree in 2016.
During law school, Ms. Rueda worked in a criminal defense clinic and completed an internship with the Cook County Public Defender’s Office. She received the award for Best Lawyer in Intention in the case of promotion in January 2015 and the CALI Excellence Award for the Future in Criminal Litigation 2 in the fall of 2015. Although passionate about her opportunities to work in criminal defense, Rueda remained committed to pursue work in the Immigration Law, her true passion.
After graduating from law school, Ms. Rueda passed the Illinois bar exam and was admitted to practice in November 2016. Immediately after being admitted to practice, Ms. Rueda had the opportunity to fulfill her dream of practicing Immigration Law when he was offered a position by the company. Since then, she has held the position of Associate Lawyer and works mainly with clients in Defense of Removal and Inadmissibility Exemptions.
Ms. Rueda attributes the hard work and dedication of her parents for her achievements to date. Her love for Immigration Law stems from her father’s success story. For Mrs. Rueda, her father is a symbol of the immense value that immigrant workers bring to this great country. During her stay at the company, Mrs. Rueda has truly learned the meaning of the words of the great Theodore Roosevelt: “By far, the best reward life has to offer is to work hard at work worthy of being done.”
