LYMARIS DE JESUS
Attorney Lymaris De Jesus Mir was born in Illinois and raised in the commonwealth of Puerto Rico, where she obtained a bachelor’s Degree at the University of Puerto Rico in Education.
During her years as an undergraduate student Lymaris De Jesus Mir excelled as a student in a competitive academic environment making the dean’s list 7 out of 10 semesters and ultimately graduated with honors, specifically Magna Cum Laude. Later on she became a certified teacher for the Department of Education in Puerto Rico.
However, Lymaris De Jesus Mir’s true calling was not in education but in Law hence the reason for which she decided to enroll at the University of Puerto Rico’s Law School.
During her time as a law student Lymaris de De Jesus was actively involved in various Pro bono organizations and legal associations. She participated in the Pro Bono Acess to Justice Organization where she aided in developing a study on Pro Bono Services and conducted legal research. Lymaris also participated in the Pro Bono Caño Martin Peña, where met first hand member of various communities affected by diverse legal issues and offered them counseling regarding applicable laws and administrative procedures.
As a law student Lymaris was also a member of the Litigation Association and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars.
In 2013 Lymaris De Jesus Mir graduated Cum Laude from the University of Puerto Rico’s School of Law and in 2014 she became a licensed attorney and notary in the commonwealth of Puerto Rico. In 2015 Lymaris was admitted to the U.S. District Court of Puerto Rico.
Afterwards, Lymaris De Jesus began working as a special assistant in the Legal Department of the Municipality of Aguas Buenas. As a special assistant Lymaris quickly demonstrated her high level of competence and strive for excellence, thus the reason that within 6 months she was promoted as Director of the Legal Department of the Municipality of Aguas Buenas.
In 2014 Attorney Lymaris decided to venture on a new professional path by establishing with a partner a private practice, where she offered legal representation to individuals in civil and criminal matters.
Currently Lymaris offers her services as an attorney at Manuel Solis Law Offices, where she provides legal counseling in matters regarding immigration law.
